Allison Nour

Allison Nour leads the firm’s Middle East Practice, providing strategic advisory and business development support to leading companies with activities in the Middle East, and to regionally-based companies working to grow their business in global markets. She advises clients across a range of sectors including aerospace and defense, healthcare, tech, energy, and construction.

From 2018–2020, Allison led The Cohen Group’s Middle East regional office based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where she supported client activities throughout the Gulf, Levant, and North Africa.

Ms. Nour joined The Cohen Group in 2015 after nearly a decade in foreign policy and security-focused positions including in the Washington, DC, think-tank community and the US Senate. Prior to joining The Cohen Group, she completed graduate school at Princeton University, where her research centered on politics and security in the Gulf states. While in graduate school, she worked in the office of US Senator Kay Hagan, supporting the Senator’s work on the Senate Armed Services Committee. Previously, Ms. Nour worked at the Council on Foreign Relations, supporting research programs on political and economic trends in the Middle East and US foreign policy. As a project assistant at the National Democratic Institute, Ms. Nour worked on Egypt, Lebanon, and Syria issues. She has also worked in academia in Egypt.

Ms. Nour holds a Master in Public Affairs from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School, and a bachelor’s degree in Arabic and Political Science from Duke University. Ms. Nour has also studied at the American University in Cairo. She is fluent in Arabic.
