The Panama Papers leaks published by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) on Sunday included information on Pan World Investments, a company owned by Alaa Mubarak — son of former President Hosni Mubarak — that was registered in the British Virgin Islands in order to evade taxes and preserve the secrecy of the owners’ identities and financial transactions.
